Handwritten - a personal touch

Have you seen photos with cute little "handwritten" messages or captions?

Well one of my favorite bloggers Elsie Larson from A Beautiful Mess was probably the first blogger I saw that did this with her images. I was so in love with it and I had no idea how she did it. At first I thought it was some sort of font that someone made that was probably pretty pricey, but then I realized her handwriting was exactly the same. She later posted a tutorial on how she got her handwriting on her photos and I felt so sad because I thought

"Well I am never going to buy that product because it's probably expensive."

It wasn't until about three days ago when I saw a commercial with the beautiful Diana Argon, something about a Nintendo D.S and writing on photos, and it clicked... I have an iPad... there has to be a way to do this with an iPad! I mean, it's practically the same as a  Wacom Bamboo Connect Pen Tablet because it is a touch screen, so why not? I opened up a program called Procreate and voila, I could now easily write on my photos. I thought it was just the greatest thing, a cute way to add your personal touch to any image!

And, I have become quite obsessed to say the least...

It can get a bit sloppy, I have pretty good handwriting, but I couldn't find my Stylus, so I just used the side of my finger. I know a stylus will definitely help be create better images!

I think it should work, you would probably need a stylus to help you get it clear but I am pretty sure it is possible!

    1. Yes! it is an app called Procreate, you can use it on any app that allows you to open a photo and edit it. Really it's just like using photoshop or paint but you need the touch screen.

  17. I most definitely agree. Adding handwritten font just makes the whole experience to a reader that much more personal. It's like flipping through a scrapbook or a diary. I love it.
