away we go

I cannot believe I haven't posted in over a week (besides the blog hop)!

My boyfriend drove down from South Carolina to bring me my cat, Kittehn and her baby, Mischa, so I have been spending time with them. I finally got around to moving my belongings back to San Antonio from Corpus. Let's just say I hope I never have to rent a U-HAUL truck again because it's pretty pricey if you are going from one town to another, plus we had to tow his car, but I am glad it's over with.

Although he was just down in June, I was excited to get to do spend some time with him but the week turned out more hectic then I anticipated. Since the drive down is about 19 hours, I was convinced to drive back up with him so he wouldn't have to pull through it alone again. It was a long..long trip, we stopped in Mississippi to rest and left Saturday morning and arrived late Saturday night. I actually enjoy long drives, even though my bum was numb every now and then, it was nice to see places I haven't seen in a while.

I really didn't think I would ever go back to South Carolina. I use to always say "Beaufort, where all the roads lead to Wal-Mart" because that's how it felt. I'm just glad it's not far from Hilton Head and Savannah, Georgia. One good thing I have learned is the exact date my boyfriend will be getting out, so I will be able to go to the Military Ball! I can't wait to get a gown!

So I will be flying back on Sunday, and it will be back to normal again.

It's already Wednesday, which means another Blog Hop, and I haven't gotten around to all the emails and notifications I have gotten. If I haven't returned the favor I still vow to keep my promise and will return the favor, I just haven't been able to get around to it this past week.

Haha I think we look kind of funny, the ipad front facing camera kind of stinks but we don't have a lot of pictures
together because I am usually taking pictures of him or he is taking pictures of me, no one takes picturs of us :( haha.
so I guess that's as good as they are going to get!

Feels like ages since we have talked!
I meant to tell you that I saw the place where you live!
Literally the street before my dad house (callaghan), unforunately I am not staying with him anymore.

hope all is well on your end!
      (:

  5. It's good to see a post from you, Sherry! I'm glad you have your cat back. (:
It's funny, I used to travel by car a lot when I was younger going to North Carolina and/or Michigan each year. I always didn't like the car rides but now I enjoy being in the car, but we don't make the trips anymore.

    1. Thanks Chrissy! Glad to be back. One time my family drove from Texas to Minnesota. Man, that took forever! I just remember sleeping in the back blasting my music in my ears. Family trips don't happen anymore here either, it was fun while it lasted looking back now.

  6. Oh, I'm so glad you have your whole kitty family with you now! That sounds like quite the drive, but I would have driven with my bf too. At least the company is pleasant :) Did you split the driving between the two of you?

    1. Haha me too! Thanks Jayne, I am happy they are here with me. Kitties are the best! Lol unfortunately he has a standard car, (stick shift) which I have been telling him to teach me but he never does so... unfortunately for him he had to drive the entire time! Maybe when I nag him to teach me he will rethink the importance of it!
