It's kind of a funny story

Today was the day my boyfriend planned on coming home to Texas on leave, but unfortunately, his leave was pushed back so others from his shop could come back, so instead he is coming on the 22nd. At first I was upset, I probably had no real reason to be, but I felt upset with him as if it was somehow his fault. But it was really just cause I didn't want to bare another 7 days of anticipation to see him and my beloved kitty, Kittehn. And to add to that, Kittehn was pregnant, and of course we had no idea of how far along she was. I was afraid for her because it was just going to be him taking care of her, and he was grossed out by the fact that she would be bloody and that she would be cleaning up after her kittens.

Better her cleaning up her fluids then him I'd say.

We discussed the situation of her being on the plane, not knowing when she would have her babies, trying to figure out plan a and plan B or C or D! Just in case she had them the day of, or the morning of, or even on the plane or during his 1 hour layover. It was so much to think about we kind of just decided that we couldn't really plan ahead, we just had to have our options.

Well last night I fell asleep after working out to the point where I felt like I was going to throw up, so I fell asleep early. He got home probably around 3 a.m and called me but of course, I was sleeping. It wasn't until 4:30 this morning that I saw a text saying she was "meowing loudly" but it wasn't cause she was hungry. I got up at 4:30 a.m to get dressed and go to the grocery store (my dad is weird and likes to go that early) and fell back asleep once I got back home.

I woke up at 10 and saw a missed call from him, which is very out of the ordinary, so then and right then, I knew she had her kittens. I checked my messages and there she was in a photo, with her four baby kittens! Oh how my hearty warmed, I felt like a Mom or a grand mom, or something of that sort. I also felt sad because I couldn't be like that for her. She is the first cat I have had on my own, well, minus my boyfriend, so she means a lot to me.

Now I don't know if I will see her, or if she will be staying 19 hours away from me. After we thought about it, I thought..."Well I guess it's good your leave got pushed back to the 22 or she would have had her babies the morning of your flight" and what a mess that would have been.

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to 4 beautiful kittens.
Two white ones, one black, and one calico of some sort.

Sorry for the horrible quality of the first picture that came from my boyfriends paid in cash $800 dollar phone. (It frustrates me that he bought a phone that expensive that can't even take a good picture. AND he paid full price. Who does that??!?)

So this post is dedicated to my babygirl!

(I swear, Blogger makes it SO HARD to group these photos. It took me probably 15 minutes and they still mess up!)

  3. Congrats on the baby kittens! So adorable. I know exactly what you mean when you said you feel like a mommy/grand mom to them. My puppy is like my baby and I feel like her Momma. If she had babies I'd feel the same way!
