A gift for a traveler.

My Grandpa came to visit and I had a great time with him. He stayed for a week, which is quite a while for him, because he is usually very bust, plus, he lives in Australia. During the week I started to think of how I have never given him anything, yet I ALWAYS give something to my Grandmother. So I started thinking of ideas of what I could purchase him. Nothing came to mind so I planned on just making a card, but I wanted it to be useful, I thought a notebook would be nice because he could actually use it while traveling. So I made this instead. I just took a notebook I purchased and covered it with a map I bought at a used book store for .50 cents. When I was looking for a something to wrap the finished product in, a button fell from the shelf, so I thought what a good idea to use it on the notebook. I didn't plan on doing a DIY, but I figured the pictures I did take, are pretty self explanatory. I was such in a rush to do this, I probably would have done more but I am happy with the results because it was made very last minute, took me about an hour and a half.
